What are anti-wrinkle injections?

Over time, constant use of facial muscles combined with the effects of stress and ageing causes the skin to start losing elasticity giving rise to wrinkles.

Botulinum neurotoxin Type A is a protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. It is injected into muscles to soften or eliminate dynamic wrinkles. It works by relaxing the muscles thereby producing a younger more rejuvenated look.

What are the Benefits?

Technique

On the treatment day you will be made to feel comfortable in a relaxed environment. Once the clinician has gained consent, confidential photographs will be taken. Topical anaesthetic cream is optional and applied to the sites to be treated.

Next the skin is cleansed and the appropriate doses of the toxin are administered using a technique sensitive manner producing minimal discomfort. Finally photographs will be taken to demonstrate the before and after result which is mandatory and kept confidential unless you opt for them to be used for teaching or marketing purposes.

There is minimal down time and people tend to continue with their daily activities as normal.
